Era 13th Century
Guard Made of gilded iron and chiseled in long scrolls, mounted on a cross-shaped support. Cylindrical crystal pommel with a gilded brass border. Wooden grip without covering.
Blade Straight, flat, and wide, with a channel that occupies one third of its length in the first three-fifths and gradually decreases towards the tip.

Description The sword belonged to Ferdinand III “the Saint” and was a symbol of power. This monarch bequeathed it to Infante Don Manuel, father of Don Juan Manuel.
Location Chapel of the Virgin of the Kings, Cathedral of Seville.
Commemoration Solemn procession of Tercias or the Sword every November 23 in honor of the conquest of Seville.
